Our Support Team

Network Infrastructure
Our network infrastructure has to be able to support the high demands of the business world. We can't allow outages and we must compensate for natural failures. That's why we have a natural gas backup generator to cover mother-natures power outages; fault-tolerate drives in our Compaq and HP servers to cover the impending hard disk crashes and redundant backbone connections to the Internet to compensate for line-cuts and failures in the upstream access. Our Cisco routers automatically reroute traffic if an error is detected in the backbone. The advantage to all of this redundancy and expense is that as a Sterling customer you are not affected by outages, we have compensated for them with state-of-the-art technology and fail-over systems. You won't find a more reliable or better-managed network in town.
Filtered Internet Access
By using state-of-the-art firewall technology, Sterling is able to filter out adult pornographic content. Our content filters are NOT keyword based -- they are database driven. All sites that are blocked by Sterling have been previewed by a human being and are categorized according to their content. This means that web sites offering information on breast cancer will not blocked just because the word breast occurs on the site. The database is updated daily to ensure its accuracy. This filter technology offers you the freedom to surf the web without the worry of running into undesirable sites. It is also the first step in averting Internet related sexual harassment lawsuits for your company.
Your needs are our concern
Sterling is a full-service company, capable of handling as much or as little of your internet and network needs as you desire. If you simply want to make one phone call and have us do the rest, that's fine with us. Or, if you would like to be involved and play a large role along the way, that's OK too.
