Sterling processes over 1 million email messages per day. It's almost unbelievable that
89% of those messages are either spam or viruses.
Without filtering, the average user would have received 9 spam/virus messages for each legitimate message in their inbox.
The average user receives over 12,000 spam & virus messages per year.
Spam rates are rising everywhere—more than 9% in the second quarter of 2007 alone. A recent study shows that the United States contributes one fifth of the world’s spam. Europeans are catching up—6 out of 12 spam companies are now from Europe. China and Korea are also adding to the problem.
Consumer Reports magazine estimates that Americans spent more than $7.6 billion for computer repairs and parts over the past two years as the direct result of viruses and spyware.*

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel", contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.
