Dear Sterling Customer |
|
|
A new virus threat, the Mydoom.A.worm, is spreading rapidly infecting thousands of PC’s around the world. It propagates by sending itself to other computers via e-mail and through KaZaA file sharing. When it is run, it creates a backdoor, opening TCP port 3127, which could allow a hacker to take remote control of an infected system and use it to access network resources. Take extra precautions and update your antivirus. If your computer has been infected, you can eliminate it by going to our Antivirus information website, http://www.sterling.net/virus/, and downloading the virus removal tool from Panda Software or running the online virus scanner. If you receive a suspicious email, do not open the email or attachment until you can identify the authenticity of the email. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact technical support at support@sterling.net. |
