All Internet access provided by Sterling is content filtered, meaning that we block access to WWW sites that contain questionable material or pornographic content. Please review our filter philosophy for full details. The End User Agreement is also available online. Sterling Nationwide Dialup - Search Tool If you're a Sterling customer with a Nationwide Dialup Account, you will be given access to our network of nationwide local access numbers. The only charges you will incur with Sterling are your regular monthly service fees. However, if you don't choose an access number that's a toll-free call in your area, you may incur additional charges from your telephone company. Caution: Before you use any dial-up number for Internet access, we recommend that you contact your local telephone company to verify that the number in question would be a toll-free call for your area. You can reach your local operator by dialing "0". Let the operator know what number you're dialing from and what number you plan to use to connect to the Internet. The operator will verify whether or not the number is a toll-free call for you. It only takes a few moments, and it could save you a lot of money. All 800 access numbers require additional fees, just like a long-distance telephone call. If you use the Sterling 877 access numbers, your account will be billed 0.15/min ($9/hr) for each minute you are connected. This invoice will come from Sterling. To find a local access number, enter data in the relevant fields and click the "search" button. Only enter the information you are interested in. For example: if you want all the local access numbers for a particular state, enter only the state and press search. If you would like to narrow that search to a particular area code, enter the state and area code and press search. |
